It was great to work with Solus Ceramics for Clerkenwell Design week 2019.
Solus is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of commercial wall and floor tiles, offering a range of more than 60,000 porcelain, ceramic, glass, metal and natural stone products.
Solus invited us to be part of their showroom for Clerkenwell Design Week, allowing use tiles of our choice to engage their customers in a creative workshop.
We were immediately drawn to the Fornia range as we loved the matt finish and wide range of colours of porcelain tiles on offer.
After a lot of experimentation, we created a range of blank brooch shapes which we laser cut and painted ready for workshop participants to select from a range of tiles to insert into a brooch back and create a unique design.
We were so pleased to welcome many visitors and Solus clients to our workshops.
Alongside developing a bespoke workshop, we selected porcelain tiles from the Luminous range to design a brand new range of functional and sculptural vessels called the Satellite Vessels.
We are excited to develop these vessels further for London Design Fair 2019.
